Muslims are often faced with the difficulty of people in the “modern” world pressuring them to change their viewpoints to conform better with what is socially accepted by society. Many of these people (not just non-Muslims, but Muslims as well) see the prescribed punishments of Allah as barbaric practices that should be done away with.
